Be Still and Know that I Am God

This morning as I tuned to the Radio all I was hearing are bad news, I quickly switched off the radio and tuned to the Television, and yet what I saw are reports of tragedies, accidents, and terrorist attacks, armed bandit’s killings.

I flipped the channel to see if I can find another channel reporting good news, and lo and behold the news reporter also was reporting some fearful reports still; how hundreds of thousands of lives, jobs, and businesses has been lost due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

I turned to God’s word to hear some good news as it seems all the news out there are reports of tragedies and disasters revenging the world as that breeds fear and anxiety.

I found consolation in God’s word for you and I in the book of Psalms 46:1-11;

God is our refuge and strength, a very pleasant help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, though the earth be moved and though the mountains shook with the swelling thereof. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most high God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved, and God shall help her and that right early – Psalm 46:1-5

From the foregoing, we can summon the courage and rest assured in the finished work of Christ, because our God is our refuge and the very present help in trouble and in the midst of us and shall help us right early. Hallelujah.

Therefore we will not fear in spite of the bad news and fearful things happening all over the world. Praise God, child of God can you see that assurance? Are you not you excited about that? I am of course.

And verse 10 and 11 of that Psalm 46, is the crux and climax of the matter, the assurance, and confirmation of his infallible power and promise. He says we should, ‘Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of Host is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.

The above passage of God’s word speaks volumes and reconfirms the sovereignty of our God and what He requires of us. The only thing He requires of us is to ‘Be still and know that He is God’ and that there is nothing too hard for him to do.
What does it mean to Be Still? It means to be calm and trust in Him, to be faithful, and rest assured in the finished work of Christ. Also, see Exodus 14:13

Today’s Takeaway:

-Be still and know He is God and the very present help in trouble.

-When you rest assured in the work Christ finished on the cross God works, and when you worry and are afraid He rests – Chiugo A. JOSEPHAT

Think and meditate on these, child of God.

Reminder: Don’t ever forget that Jesus Christ is coming back. Watch & Pray so you will not fall into temptation. And always ask for His grace and the Holy Spirit will help you to lead a Holy Life, for Holy is He that calls thee. He is coming soon. You can’t afford to be caught unawares or to miss the Kingdom of Heaven.

Prophetic Declarations:

Heavenly Father, i thank you for your ever-abiding presence, provisions, protections, and your promises. I remain still, loyal and calm because I know you are God and your thoughts for me are of peace and not of evil and to grant the great desires of my heart. I rest assured in the finished work of Christ on the cross in Jesus Christ’s mighty name I declare, Amen!

For the edification of the Saints to fulfill the dominion mandate!
